Call for abstracts to Ecology of Soil Microorganisms is now open!
The Fifth Conference on the Ecology of Soil Microorganisms addresses questions related to individual microbes (archaea, bacteria, fungi, oomycetes, protozoa and viruses), microbial communities and their ecological networks.
Modern genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic methods will be combined with approaches based on soil chemical, biochemical and functional analyses, soil faunal studies and plant ecology. Experts from all these disciplines are invited to join us to promote state-of-the-art research in soil ecology and to enjoy the northern midsummer madness!
The conference will take place 15-19 June 2025 in Helsinki, Finland. HoliSoils will host an excursion to the experimental site of Ränskälänkorpi, Asikkala 14th of June. Join the excursion to hear how different harvesting methods influence on soil water table levels, soil processes, soil microbe community and their function in a drained peatland forest.
The organisers call for your abstracts to the conference. You can submit an abstract for oral presentation, lightning talk or poster presentation.
The deadline for abstracts is 24 February 2025.
